Classic Carrara marble fireplace with molded mantel
A classic white marble fireplace surround. Wide plain jambs stand on plinth blocks and carry a smooth frieze, topped by an ogee cornice and a deep shelf that overhangs the front and the sides. A stepped inner frame with its own plinths runs around the opening, which holds a cast-iron surround with a center rosette and a fire basket. A thin marble hearth with a rounded edge extends well into the room.
